About Taylor Penwell
Taylor Penwell is the founding Partner at Sergeant Talent Partners serving his clients and candidates nationwide. His passion for connecting military veterans to rewarding civilian sector jobs started in 2019.
Taylor’s professional background includes working for the military practices of the distinguished recruiting firms Lucas Group and Korn Ferry.
By leveraging a keen ability to identify and align candidates’ strengths with clients’ needs, Taylor fosters long-term success for both employers and job seekers. Committed to excellence and passionate about empowering veterans, he has become a trusted partner in building strong, mission-driven teams.
Before transitioning to the recruiting industry, Taylor was a competitive sailor and spent 12 years coaching junior sailing worldwide.
This global experience allowed Taylor to bring structure and discipline to diverse training programs, foster a goal-oriented mindset, and guide young sailors from various backgrounds to achieve their full potential. These skills now play a pivotal role in Taylor's recruiting career, where a strategic, disciplined approach helps clients and candidates navigate the hiring process with success.
Taylor resides in Annapolis, MD, and holds a BA in History from the College of Charleston.

About Shane Johnson
Shane Johnson is a highly skilled Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development professional with a passion for connecting top-tier talent with exceptional opportunities. His expertise in talent management, recruitment, and retention strategies has helped organizations build stronger, more effective teams.
Shane’s professional background includes working as a Senior Executive Search Consultant with the military division of the distinguished recruiting firm Korn Ferry (formerly Lucas Group). In this role, he specialized in placing military-experienced Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians into Fortune 500 companies nationwide. By leveraging his extensive network and deep understanding of workforce dynamics, Shane has successfully matched top talent with industry-leading organizations.
Committed to excellence and driven by a strategic approach, Shane has played a key role in optimizing talent acquisition and retention strategies. As a former Director of Talent Acquisition, Retention & Attrition Management for the United States Army/UTARNG, he developed and managed career performance programs, influenced national military recruitment policies, and implemented training initiatives that enhanced workforce efficiency and effectiveness.
Before transitioning to corporate recruiting, Shane dedicated over two decades to military service, achieving the rank of Command Sergeant Major/E-9. His leadership experience in operations, team development, and strategic planning has translated seamlessly into his recruiting career, where he continues to help organizations and professionals achieve long-term success.
Shane holds a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. He resides in Santaquin, UT, where he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing outdoors.

Frank Hitchcock is an accomplished Talent Acquisition professional with a passion for matching skilled talent with the needs of companies nationwide and across the globe. His expertise in recruiting has helped companies in several industries find the right fit to meet their needs.
Frank’s professional background includes an extensive background in military recruiting and civilian staffing. After serving 25 years in the US Air Force, he worked as a Senior Recruiter for a staffing company whose mission was to place military talent with civilian employers. In this role, he leveraged his knowledge of recruiting strategies and his ability to develop relationships to help military professionals secure employment.
Prior to assisting veterans find civilian employment, Frank was a Director of Talent Acquisition for the United States Air Force in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, where he developed recruiting policy and managed all operations associated with finding the best and brightest to join the Air Force. His military service spanned more than two decades achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant/E-8.
Frank holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from American Military University. He resides in Cape Coral, FL, where he enjoys spending family time on the water and golfing.
